Franz Wagner's Hot Streak Continues

German basketball world champion Franz Wagner is doing well in the NBA. He is the Orlando Magic's scoring leader after averaging 24.6 points per game in the last eight games.

Basketball world champion Franz Wagner is on fire in the NBA. He scored 27 points in the Orlando Magic's 123-91 home win over the Detroit Pistons on Monday night and was once again the team's top scorer.

Wagner, 22, is averaging 24.6 points in his last eight North American Basketball League games. He has been the Orlando Magic's leading scorer in seven of those games.

Wagner's younger brother, Moritz, also played well for the Magic. He had four points and five rebounds in the game.

The Magic are 15-7 on the season and are in second place in the Eastern Conference. They have won eight straight at home.

The Pistons have lost 22 straight games, the longest losing streak in NBA history. The last time an NBA team lost more games in a row was the 2020-21 season, when the Houston Rockets lost 20 games in a row.

Schroder's struggles continue

World champion captain Dennis Schroder has lost three straight with the Toronto Raptors. The Canadian team lost to the Charlotte Hornets 116-119 on Wednesday night.

Schroder was once again overwhelmed by the Hornets' defense. He scored only seven points in the game.

The Raptors are in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with 12 wins and 10 losses this season. They are one game out of the playoffs.

Haltenstein's loss notwithstanding

The New York Knicks, led by international player Isaiah Haltenstein, fell to the Boston Celtics 123-133 on the road Wednesday night.

Haltenstein grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds in the game. He also contributed five points.

The Celtics are now 17-4 on the season and are the only undefeated team at home.

Thunder shut out Warriors

The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to be one of the surprises of the NBA. They defeated the Golden State Warriors 138-136 in overtime on Wednesday night.

Stephen Curry scored 34 points for the Warriors, but it wasn't enough to help his team win the game.

The Thunder are 16-4 on the season and are in second place in the Western Conference. They are one game behind the Phoenix Suns.

The Magic, Thunder and Celtics are all strong contenders for the NBA championship this season. The Magic have a young and talented core, the Thunder have a lot of upside, and the Celtics have one of the best defenses in the league.
